Reaching the final boss in Elden Ring: Shadow of The Erdtree DLC is a long journey filled with all kinds of dangerous encounters. During the expedition, you meet multiple new NPCs and bosses that lead you to the decision to stop Miquella. However, Miquella is not alone. The Empyrean has Radahn as his Consort, which makes stopping them a near-impossible task.

That’s where the Tarnished come in, since they defeated Radahn once in the past. But this time, you’re fighting prime Radahn as the final boss of the DLC. So, this is how to beat Radahn, Consort of Miquella in Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree.

How To Beat Radahn Consort of Miquella In Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree

To beat Radahn, Consort of Miquella in Elden Ring, there are many steps to take before entering the final boss fight, as there are many more to take during the final battle. Radahn, Consort of Miquella has two phases. His first phase is a short one, where it ends after losing around 25% of his HP, leaving most of his HP for the second phase, which is a vicious one.

Like any other Boss fight, there are multiple ways to beat Radahn Consort of Miquella in Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC. Generally, using a shield is necessary if you’re not good with your parries, or don’t know how to perfectly dodge. Radahn doesn’t leave any breathing window and constantly applies pressure with his attacks. He also possesses a multitude of movesets, which take a long time to memorize.

Besides the defensive perspective, depending on Bleed and Rot builds is a good idea since both deal exceptional damage to the final boss. Additionally, Radahn, Consort of Miquella is also weak to Lightning damage, but using Lightning is not as effective as Bleed and Rot. If players have tried both and are still struggling, they can try the following step-by-step guide.

Preparation

Preparing to beat the Consort of Miquella is essential, starting from the Tarnished stats. First, it’s highly recommended to have both Vigor and Endurance at 60 and 50 respectively. Other than that, you can put the rest in any attribute you see fit. If you don’t have enough points on Vigor and Endurance, you can always visit Rennala to respec your stats. On another note, collect Scadutree and Revered Spirit Ash Fragments until you reach, at least, Blessing level 10 on each.

You can progress Thiollier’s story quest in Elden Ring, Shadow of The Erdtree DLC to summon him to help you with the boss fight. He’s squishy, yet he’s able to poison the boss, which can be valuable alongside your Rot and Bleed effects.

One of the most important things to prepare for is getting Miquella’s Great Rune. Unlike the other Great Runes, this one is a reusable item that you can find in your inventory. You can find it by defeating the Scadutree Avatar in the Shadow Keep.

If you choose to enter Radahn fight shielded, you should go for the Greatshields with the highest Guard Boost, such as:

1. Verdigris Greatshield
2. Fingerprint Stone Shield
3. Golden Greatshield
4. Visage Shield
5. Haligtree Crest Greatshield

Additionally, pick thrusting weapons to go along with the Greatshields, so you can keep attacking while blocking damage. Of course, these weapons should either inflict Rot, Bleed, or both. One of the best weapons you can use with a shield is the Antspur Rapier, which can inflict both statuses with most Ashes of War, especially the Bleed ones. Keep in mind that it’s better to keep this fight strictly melee, since Radahn is very aggressive the moment he gets hit. This is especially good for your Flask management as you can put them all to recover HP and forget about FP for this boss fight.

For Talismans in Elden Ring, the plan is to absorb as much damage while waiting for Rot and Bleed to beat Radahn, Consort of Miquella. So, use defensive ones that can help with survivability, such as:

1. Pearl Shield Talisman
2. Greatshield Talisman
3. Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
4. Pearldrake Talisman +3

Your main objective is to protect your summons and Thiollier in phase one by keeping Radahn's focus on yourself. This gives them more time to deal tons of damage while you’re protecting them from Radahn. Speaking of Spirit Ashes, besides Mimic Tear, you can summon the tanky ones that apply Bleed or Rot from their attacks like:

1. Dung Eater Puppet
2. Jolan and Anna
3. Omenkiller Rollo
4. Cleanrot Knight Finlay
5. Bloodhound Knight Floh

Finally, during Radahn's second phase, he will do his famous Meteor Crash attack, where he flies into space and then lands, destroying everything. If you can’t get out of the way, it’s better to prepare your Flask of Wondrous Physick to save you when he lands. Build the Flask with Crimson Bubbletear and Opaline Bubbletear to negate the first impact alongside some of the next explosions.

Phase One

Radahn's first phase is very short. He’s very aggressive and all of his attacks have a short delay to make parrying and rolling harder. The moment you enter, Radahn will leap, preventing you from doing your Spirit Ash summon. Eventually, he will stop attacking for a split second, which is enough for you to initiate your summon.

Other than being aggressive, Radahn also has some attacks where he continuously hits a small AoE area, like when he flies to summon multiple purple meteors. These attacks are very hard to dodge as you need to press the roll button at the exact moment of impact. It’s better to just shield through them and heal when a window is opened.

Phase Two

In phase two, Miquella will follow up on each one of Radahn’s melee attacks with a couple of moving pillars that deal Holy damage. This is exceptionally hard to dodge, especially with how aggressive Radahn can be. Luckily, you can follow the same strategy in phase one and shield your way through all of these attacks. Radahn also gains some lightning-speed attacks, where he will teleport in and out of your reach to hit hard.

Eventually, he’ll elevate a little bit while marking the entire area around him before unleashing many pillars of light and Holy explosions in the area. Add to these explosions Radahn’s ability to constantly apply pressure, and you will barely have windows to do anything.

If you’re playing melee and always in Radahn’s face, be careful since he has the ability to grab you. If he did, Miquella will try to put you under his spell. If you get caught twice, you immediately lose the boss battle. To prevent that, you can use Miquella's Great Rune to nullify the Charm effect.

Finally, at the end of his HP, Radahn will leap into the air, disappearing, before coming back as a meteor. He generally lands near your area at the start of his animation. So, as soon as he starts getting ready to leap, you must run away in the opposite direction. On the other hand, you can use your Flask of Wondrous Physick to absorb most of the incoming impact damage.
